My name is Beth, I went to Dr. Bilof in March of 2009. I made the decision to do the gastric sleeve. So my journey began. Dr. Michael and Dr. Bilof both said that they had my best interest at hand and that they would take care of me. I went to my first meeting that week and fell in love with everyone. Met with Anna three times and I was off to the races. The day was set for surgery June 3rd, 2019, I made all the menus that I would need to follow. The first week after surgery was the toughest but I made through it. Fast forwarding six months, I was down 95 lbs., I thought it couldn’t be done. Covid then hit , everything was closed including the gym and my world stopped and I thought everything stopped in my weight progress. My boyfriend of two years left me as well and at the same time needed neck surgery. Well now we are in june of 2020 of my one year mark, I made my goal. I am shocked by what I see in the mirror and I look nothing like I did before the surgery. I was down 115 lbs. I am proud of myself of that and I am not giving up or not giving in. Now comes the great part of living my life. The wayI want to be healthy and happy. I could not have done it without the team at Garden State Bariatrics and the will to get healthy, that was my will. I said I was doing this to get healthy, not as a diet, so please do this for yourself and not for others, Thank you!
