My name is Shakeyhia Abbott and I am a patient of Garden State Bariatrics. I had the Gastric Sleeve Surgery. Growing up, I was always the fat or the heavyset girl. As I got older, I started having miscarriages and other health issues which took a toll on me mentally and physically. I decided it was time to take control of my weight which was 275lbd. I started eating less, going to the gym, participating in outdoor activities and even tried not eating to lose weight. I would lose 5lbs but gain 7lbs back.
Finally I was fed up and I wanted to be healthy. I reached out to Garden State Bariatrics and on 12/26/2018 Dr. Bilof changed my life. I will forever be grateful. I feel and look AMAZING. I went from weighing 275lbs to now an amazing 159lbs!
