Let me start of by saying the best decision in my life has been having Weight Loss Surgery with GSBWC!! I have struggled with my weight my entire life, especially after becoming a working mother of 3 boys. I have always put everyone first and didn’t realize that over the years I let myself go. After my 3rd son, I was at my heaviest at 230lbs. Once I became a borderline diabetic in 2016 I knew I had to do something about this. Out of nowhere, I received a phone call from a good friend by the name of Anna (nutritionist) regarding a job opportunity at GSBWC. I accepted the position and was completely blown away by seeing the results that weight loss surgery can do for you. As I kept seeing patients going through the process and hearing them say that this was the best decision that they have ever made and that they wish they would have done this sooner, I felt like it was my time to go through the process. Today I am 6 months post-surgery, and I have never felt better. I was 235lb and my BMI was a 40, now I am proud to say that I have my confidence back and I am feeling better than ever. No longer am I a borderline diabetic. Now I weigh 145lbs and I feel like a whole new women. This decision was definitely life changing. I cannot thank Dr. Yurcisin, Dr. Bilof, Michael, Anna (and all of my colleagues!) enough for saving my life. They are AMAZING!!!! I am truly blessed to be a patient and an employee here at GSBWC.
